iPhone2Mac Privacy Policy
This policy covers the iPhone/iPad app and its Mac companion, provided by Pan Juncheng.
Control data stays between your devices
The app has no developer-operated account or cloud service, advertisements, analytics, tracking or third-party telemetry SDKs. We do not collect, sell or upload your control data to a developer server. Touchpad actions and text you choose to send travel over an encrypted local-network connection to your own Mac. Data is therefore transmitted to your Mac, even though it is not collected by the developer.
Camera and local network
The camera is used only when you choose to scan a pairing QR code. Images are not saved or uploaded. Manual pairing works without camera access. Local-network access connects the devices on the same LAN; cellular connections are not supported. Both ends use Apple’s TLS implementation with a random, short-lived pairing key. The Mac must approve the request, and you must explicitly enable session input on the phone.
Local storage and retention
Pairing invitations, addresses, unsent drafts and receipts stay in process memory and are not saved between app launches. Sound, haptic and sensitivity preferences stay on your device. Removing the iOS app removes its local preferences. The Mac keeps at most 20 recent action types in memory for feedback; typed text is not included. Disconnecting ends input and does not automatically resend text.
Clipboard and other apps
Pairing information goes into the system clipboard only when you choose to copy it. Do not share it. Invitations expire after five minutes and can be cancelled on the Mac. Text you send enters the current Mac app, which may store or transmit it under its own policies. Avoid entering passwords or other sensitive text through this tool.
Permissions and your choices
The app does not request microphone, Photos, Bluetooth or screen-recording access. The Mac’s Accessibility control permission is used for mouse and keyboard events only after you turn on real input. The default Mac mode is a demonstration canvas. You can stop the session, quit the apps or revoke permissions in system settings. There is no developer account to delete and no developer-held control data to request deletion of.
Support and this website
If you email support, your email address and information you choose to include are used to answer that request. Please do not send pairing keys, passwords or private logs. This website is hosted by Netlify; its delivery infrastructure may process IP addresses and request metadata under Netlify’s privacy policy. The site does not add advertising or analytics scripts. The shared language selector stores your language preference in your browser, independently of the apps.
